6AM, watching Jerry Maguire

This is not the first blog I've had. I've started a few. Some lasted a bit, some never got off the ground. The problem I run into a lot is simply feeling like there's nothing to write about. I'm not a person who typically likes to pontificate on what I ate for breakfast or similar minutiae. So shit tends to fall by the wayside. But, I'm trying to break that habit with this one and blog about any old thing. That's not to say I'll be expounding on how awesome Tim Horton's breakfast sandwiches are, but I do want to write a lot more.

So anyways. Saw Hereafter tonight. Bit of a disappointment. Lacked focus, and I wasn't blown away by any of the performances. In fact, the kid who played the twins in the flick I came close to finding downright annoying. Again, bit of a disappointment, especially with Eastwood coming off Gran Torino.

Been getting big into sound programs lately. Reason, Cubase, FL Studio, and a few more have all found their way onto the hard drive. But the current major crush is Ableton Live. Really need a midi controller in a bad way (partially to make me feel more like a bigshot actual musician), but I'm having fun.

Suppose that's it for tonight. We end with a quote that kind of sums of the spirit of this post:

If we don’t show anyone, we’re free to write anything.
-Allen Ginsberg, Cosmopolitan Greeting

While I'm not afraid of anyone reading this (though I suspect no one is), I'll take that quote as an admonition to throw caution to the wind and write, damnit.

Till the next one. Hopefully not 3 weeks from now.
